This page is the start of a listing of resources for young gay men and women. The first thing to know is simply that you are not alone. There are a LOT of us out here and there is a lot of information. The second thing is that you are fine just the way you are. There is nothing wrong with you just because you are gay. If you are gay, then you were born gay. A gay person didn’t decide to be gay any more than a straight person decided to be straight. Some people are gay, some people are straight, and some other people are somewhere in between. That just is the way it is.
As this page is assembled I will provide links to resources of all sorts, but while I am doing the information collection to build this page I’ll start with just a couple of things:
True Colorz – True Colorz is a web space dedicated exclusively to Young Adult LGBTQ literature. TC was started by a group of authors and readers who recognized the need for a site which exclusively features YA books and their authors.
The Trevor Project - focused on preventing suicide among LGBTQ youth
P-FLAG – Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays
Answers for a Better Understanding of Sexual Orientation and Homosexuality (American Psychological Association)
